It´s difficult to set a definite time for the Enlightenment. In international terms they say that it started in 1620.The French says it started in 1715- they based it on the French revolution.
The enlightenment also called the age of the reason. In this period people didn’t believe in magic. The Enlightenment included Rationalism-logic reason as source knowledge,
Empirism- knowledge comes through, experience- research
Criticism- critical thinking, argumentation
Egalitarianism- everybody is born equal
Deism- rejection of organized religion.
