Description:
When Amadeo I abdicated there wasn't a new king/queen, so Spain was a republic. It lasted 1 year, under 4 different presidents, and faced A LOT of problems: Cantonal rebellion, 3rd Carlist war and Cuban rebels against the Spanish rule. There was a great political inestability. There were 2 pronunciamientos too: When parliament was dissolved, and when the general Martínez Campos restored the Bourbon dinasty.Added to timeline:
