Description:
World War I began after the assassination of Austrian archduke Franz Ferdinand and his wife by nationalist Gavrilo Princip on June 28, 1914. The Austrian government blamed the Serbian government for the assassination of Franz Ferdinand and his wife and declared war on Serbia. The war continued until 1918, when the Armistice was signed bringing the war to an end.
