Market Revolution (nov 29, 1820 – nov 29, 1860)
Description:
Just as the Industrial Revolution, the Market Revolution altered the American economy. The Market Revolution was less focused on the individual and rather the markets of America. Goods were no longer produced for solely the user at home, but for other markets to be able to utilize and mass produce their product. New ways of travel began to arise during the Market Revolution, mainly canals and the National Road, which also encouraged people to move further west and cultivate more land. Key Concept 4.2.11
