War/Uncertainty (jan 1, 1755 – dec 31, 1800)
Description:
During this time period America was cursed with war. The event that started this period was the Seven Years War. This war was fought between Britain and France over land in North America. After that war The American Revolution began as an attempt to separate the colonies from Britain. The 13 colonies officially became a free standing territory with the declaration of independence. Although the colonies were free from Britain's rule it was very uncertain that the colonies would be able to come together as a single nation.Added to timeline:
