Description:
He was the third Hanoverian king of Great Britain. During his reign, Britain lost the American colonies, yet still emerged as a leading European power. The American War put quite a strain on him, and caused him to become rather ill. Under the Act of Union, Great Britain and Ireland were united, and George III was the first King of a brand new nation.Added to timeline:
