Exploration/Pursicution (jan 1, 1491 – dec 31, 1607)
This time period saw a spike in exploration around the world. Due to the recent advancements in navigation technology such as the compass and upgraded ships the people of the is time were able to travel much farther much more efficiently on the seas. This lead to expeditions between distant countries and even continents becoming much more poplar. In 1492 a Spanish man named Christopher Columbus sailed across the Atlantic ocean to the "New World". Following the discovery of the civilizations in the new world at the time religious persecution and invasions were inflicted upon the native by the Europeans for many years to come. Contact with the natives of the new world for better or for worse ultimately went in favor of the invading Europeans.
