Description:
Marie was born in Warsaw, Poland. In 1898 Marie and Pierre curie discovered 2 new elements, radium and polonium. Marie's research contributed to the creation of the atomic bomb. For joint research in radioactivity, Marie and Pierre were awarded the 1903 Nobel Prize in physics.
