Industrial Revolution (sep 30, 1790 – sep 30, 1860)
Description:
Industrial Revolution (1790 - 1860):
The Industrial Revolution was a transition from an agricultural economy to an industrial economy. The Industrial Revolution was an almost global occurrence that originated from Britain in the mid 18th century. The abundance of land and lack of labor cause America to be a little slower to start its own Industrial Revolution, however many inventions would come to be created during this period. Inventions such as the McCormick Reaper, Cotton Gin, and Telegraph led to a much higher standard of living than had existed before this period.
