Description:

The Mongol conquest of all of China began with Genghis Khan’s conquest of North China during his life. He repeatedly attacked the Jurchen rulers of northern China and eventually captured the Jurchen capital. After Genghis’ death and the split of Mongol territory, Kublai Khan, one of Genghis’ heirs, also conquered the Southern Song Dynasty and established the Yuan Dynasty which lasted until its collapse due to the Black Death. This completed the Mongol conquest of all of China. (3.1)(3.2)
