Description:
Richard Nixon, as soon as he got into the office, his goal was to get the US out of the war as soon as possible. he deployed several new operations and broke the Geneva accords by chasing the Ho Chi Minh Trail deeper into Cambodia, and he deployed operation Line Backer, a full out bombing campaign into the north to target civilian and military targets with the hope of getting the North to come to an agreement.Nixon's plan succeed, even if his methods were brutal to reach the end goal. He planned to Vietnamise the war, or fully turn the back over to the Vietnamese.
