Speaking of change, a prime example of an innovator comes in the form of Benjamin Franklin. Born in Boston on January 17, 1706, he would live to be an extremely influential figure in early America’s life. Some items on his long list of accomplishments include publishing Poor Richard’s Almanack, which was a very popular reading material at the time, initiating the first “fire-fighters”, bifocals, swimming fins, and of course he verified the nature of Electricity. An invaluable member of American evolution, there is a definite reason that he is the face of the hundred dollar bill.
