This case declared that separate schools based on races of black and white were unconstitutional.Petitioner: Oliver Brown et al.

Cause: Plessy v Ferguson cemented the segregation school which led to this suit.
Effect: Schools became slowly unsegregated. Overturned Plessy v Ferguson.
