A period called Age of ReasonStretches between 1650 and 1800 in England but started internationaly 1620. In France the Enlightment started 1715.
The era is connected with new ways of thinking and analysing the world. Rationalism, Empirism, Criticism, Egalitatarianism, and Deism was important parts.
The Enlightment became a starting point of the middle class when people became more literate and educated. People's actions also started to change and common sence, and self-control were further developed. Formal style and elegance apperances started to apear. Due to the globalisation and colonization the sociaty might get acces to new products such as tea and chocolate and the standards of living increased.
The sociaty developed in a lot of other ways as well, Neoclassical Architecture become popular and science, art and literature flourished.
The period brought advancement of ideas like. progress, tolerance, fraternity, constitutional government and separation of church and state.
The French Revolution was an important part of the period as it affect the worlds view on regime and democracy. It took place between 1789 and 1799.
The American Constitution 1789 was also an important occurance. This happening caused the world to look differently on freedom and rights and a new phenomenon called liberalism was introduced.
Major Writers of the Enlightment were for example: Newton, Mary Wollstonecraft, Rousseau and Benjamin Franklin.
