Muhammad (jan 1, 571 – jan 1, 632)
Description:
Muhammad was a merchant from the city of Mecca who was orphaned as a young child. He was spoken to by God (“Allah”) and became an Islamic prophet. After being warned about a threat to assassinate him, Muhammed and his followers travelled from Mecca to Medina. The journey from Mecca to Medina became one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is known as the Hajj, a journey that all Muslims must take during their lifetime - if they’re financially able to. (3.1)
