Trail of Tears (dec 7, 1831 – jul 1, 1850)
Description:
The movement of many Native American tribes as dictated by the Indian Removal Act. It was named by the Cherokee for its terrible effects. Thousands of Native Americans died from famine, disease, and warfare.
