-was a war scare in September 1922 between the United Kingdom and Turkey. Chanak refers to Çanakkale, a city at the Anatolian side of the Dardanelles Strait.-This is a significant event in Canadian History becasue it was the first time Canada showed that it would decide its role in foreign affairs.
