Marco Polo's trip to China 1271-1295 (may 10, 1271 – nov 9, 1295)
Description:
In 1271 Marco Polo set off on his journey to China. His journey would take until 1295. He set out with his uncle and father. Previously during a visit with Kublai Khan, Khan had expressed interest in Christianity. He asked them to find him 100 priests and holy water. They were unable to gather 100 and only ended up getting 2 before the harsh journey took wind on them and they returned home. His later memory for the places and cultures he witnessed was remarkable and exceptionally accurate.
