Description:
Buildup of troops and defense in Saudi Arabia. Immediately after Iraq invaded, US and Kuwait requested meeting of UNSC and resolution 660 was passed, condemning the invasion and demaning Iraq withdraw its troops. The "wholly defensive" original intent was abandoned on 8/8 when Iraq announced Kuwait to be Iraq's 19th province.Added to timeline:
