Civil War (apr 12, 1861 – may 9, 1865)

Description:

America was split in two, the North did not want slavery, they wanted it abolished, the South, however, wanted to keep slavery as they were their main source of labor without pay. Soon, America was at war with itself, the North and South fighting. The South, called the Confederacy, and the North, called the Union and led by president Abraham Lincoln, were at war for 4 years. Union forces eventually overpowered the Confederacy and forced them to surrender, ending the war.
