Description:
The Industrial Revolution was a period of economic, social and political changes due to an increased usage of newly developed machines, tools, and energy sources. For example, due to the harnessing of coal power and the innovations on the steam engine, people were able to use trains and travel across the country in hours. Major figures include James Watt with the steam engine and Eli Whitney with the cotton gin.
