Description:
This is roughly when Democritus lived and died, Democritus lived in ancient Greece, he theorized the atom, and realized that atoms are indestructible. He originally named them, "atomos" meaning "not to be cut". He conducted an experiment with a seashell, he broke it in half, and kept breaking it until he could not anymore. So he concluded that once you reach a certain (smallness?), you cant break it down any further.Added to timeline:
