Description:
The rise of Muhammad & 4 Rightly Guided Caliphs happened when Muhammad believed that he was a prophet and he spread the word and teachings of his revelations. The caliphs were the political and religious successors of Muhammad. This started a wide spread split in if Muhammad's successor would be a direct descendant from his bloodline or someone of close leadership skills and moral values. The decline of this happened gradually with the Umayyad and Abbasid empire with the Sunnis and Shias.
