Abbassid Empire (jan 1, 750 – jan 5, 1258)
Description:
The Abbasid empire overthrew the Umayyads by allying with them but soon killed them and created their own civilization. They expanded the numbers of bureaucrats, moved capital to Baghdad, appointed a wazir- chief administrator and no longer taxed non-muslims. The Abbasid became too powerful, large and increased in wealth which lead to their decline because they could no longer control the empire.
