Abbissid (jan 21, 750 – jun 11, 1258)
Description:
Creation: The Abbasids came into power directly after the Umayyads.
Achievements: The Abbasids pushed for a more centralized, imperial order, expanded the number of bureaucrats, and moved the capital from Damascus to Baghdad.
Decline: The decline of the Abbasid Empire was due to the lack of communication within the empire, failure to create thriving agricultural economy, and the rise of mercenary armies that became virtually independent.
