Description:

Creation: After the Song Dynasty was conquered by the Mongols, Kublai Khan changed the name to the Yuan Dynasty.

Achievements: During this time period, China welcomed outside influence and trade, the positions of artisans and merchants improved, and the position of scholar-gentry became very limited.

Decline: The decline of the Yuan Dynasty was due to heavy taxation and a peasant uprising.
