Description:
The Zhou Dynasty rose to power when king Wu overthrew the last Shang Dynasty ruler by making alliances with neighboring chiefs, giving him military power. The Zhou Dynasty introduced the Mandate of Heaven and Confucianism, along with a few other philosophies.
