The English Civil Wars (aug 22, 1642 – sep 3, 1651)

Description:

These wars started when Charles I and Parliament got into a huge fight and ended with Oliver Cromwell taking over with commonwealth. These wars involved many different countries and was started mainly on wanted money and wanted respect. Parliamnet wanted Charles I to respect them, but all he wanted was money. So they declared war and Cromwell led the Parliament, won, and made England a commonwealth for 11 years. This caused debt and the loss of territory.
