Description:
Time after the Civil war in which the U.S recovered from the war mainly by creating procedures of admitting southern states back into the Union. Caused by the Union victory over the Confederacy. It helped solve the issue of slavery(but not the way African Americans were treated) and it also kept the U.S intact for years to come.Added to timeline:
