In the 1970's the title of patrol inspector was changed to patrol agent along with the first female agents being hired along with other minorities. in the 1980's and 90's there were more and more people illegally trying to immigrate into the US so they had to start using things like infrared sensors, seismic sensors and a computer based system for processing people coming into the us.Added to timeline:
