Alakai Check Point Explosive Detection System (CPEDS 2) (sep 1, 2014 – aug 1, 2015)
Description:
InteliTrac is working with Alakai Defense Systems to create working software that allows for Threat Detection. Alakai currently has a system that, based off chemical components, can point a laser and discover what chemical is in the designated area. This system is used for threat detection on trucks going in and out of military bases, detecting IEDs and other suspicious items. The ultimate goal is to create a system that soldiers can use in under 30 seconds to determine if there is a threat present. In order for this system to work, the software, hardware, and science components behind the product must be in sync. Before InteliTrac, Alakai was unable to have the software in sync with the hardware and science, making the system unreliable. InteliTrac created a system that’s sole focus was to increase stability and attack any bugs in the system. InteliTrac currently employs Project Managers (PM), Software Engineers, Senior Lead Software Engineers, and Technical Leads to facilitate all software creation and testing. InteliTrac was able to successfully complete the entire punch list and move onto three additional sprints without complication.
