Second Great Awakening (apr 24, 1790 – jun 8, 1840)
Description:
A period of romanticism in the US. Many people were passionate about a certain topic attempted to reform the US. Many politicians also reflected these ideas such as abolitionist movements and temperance movements. Overall there was more religious take on everyday life and a lot of these revivals attracted women, blacks, and Native Americans.
