Colonial Era (may 14, 1607 – jul 4, 1776)

Description:

Great Britain had established the original 13 colonies. The two main purposes for settling in the new world was to gain more land and to make profit from the available profit. The colonies greatly helped Great Britain become a national power. North American also became more interconnected with the rest of the world.
