Constitutional Convention (may 25, 1787 – sep 17, 1787)

Description:

This meeting met to revise the Articles of Confederation. Two groups were formed during the convention, Federalists and Anti-Federalists. It was concluded that the Articles of Confederation would not be enough to stabilize the newly-formed country, so the Great Compromise was put into play, which meant that James Madison convinced delegates from large and small states to give up some of their demands and the Bill of Rights was promised to be in the Constitution to help the South out.
