Josiah (jul 9, 709 BC – feb 5, 670 BC)
Description:
Life of Josiah; he was born when Amon was 16, and died at the age of 39.
He was king after his father and reigned 31.
He instituted a religious reformation and repaired the temple. Due to his righteousness he secured the promise that Judah would not be destroyed during his lifetime.
He died in battle when he went out to oppose Pharaoh Necho who was at war with Assyria.
