Social:This conflict was caused by Texas wanting independence since they belonged to Mexico at this time. This battle was fought in San Antonio and the main generals were Santa Anna for Mexico and James Bowie for the Texans. Texas ended up losing badly with many casualties, but this began the Texas war for independence because they lost so badly, they worked harder to gain independence.
