American Revolutionary War (apr 18, 1775 – sep 3, 1783)
Description:
The British government decided to make the American colonies pay a large share of the war debt from the French and Indian War. Through the Sugar Act, Stamp Act, and other taxes, the British tried to collect taxes that the American people considered harsh. This war was their response to the tyrannical rule they faced under the British.
U.S. fights the Revolutionary War against England to win independence.
During this time the Revolutionary War was fought, and the Declaration of Independence was created and signed on July 4, 1776.
