The Intolerable Acts (mar 24, 1764 – mar 24, 1776)

Description:

The Intolerable Acts were a collection of acts used to punish the colonists for their act of rebellion in the Boston Tea Party. These acts included the Boston Port Act, Massachusetts Government Act, Administration of Justice Act and Quartering Act. Acts of rebellion flew into flames with the Intolerable Acts. Colonists acted out to prove that they didn't need the British to survive as a country. In January of 1776, Thomas Paine published his small pamphlet with big words, "Common Sense". This gave many colonists patriotic feelings, which in turn caused them to want to run their own country without the help of the British.
