Second Bank of the United States (jan 1, 1816 – jan 1, 1836)
Description:
It had all the same functions as the first bank.
Causes: It was recharteed because the Republicans realized how much of a necessity it was at the moment due to banks freely handing out loans and banknotes causing fluctuation in the economy.
Historical Impact: Led to several debates in the House featuring three main people: John C. Calhoun, Henry Clay, and Daniel Webster all who would become prominent in later debates.
