Description:
The French and Indian War was only a small part of a larger conflict between Britain and France known as the Seven Years' War. The French and Indian War encompasses the fight that took place on the North American continent, where both sides were supported by colonists from both countries along with their Native American allies.
Causes:
-Both Britain and France sought complete dominance over the North American continent
-Britain and France disputed over who owned the Ohio River Valley
-As tensions rose, various Indian Tribes were forced to choose the side they thought would give them the most benefits in the future
Historical Impact:
-The British led to French territory being ceded to the British

-The British employed heavy taxation on the colonies to pay off its debts, leading to the American Revolution
