Description:
When Hoshea was found to be in a conspiracy with Egypt, Shalmaneser, King of Assyria, invaded Israel and besieged Samaria, the capital.
The siege lasted three years, but finally it fell, This marked the end of Hoshea's reign and teh end of the Kingdom of Israel.
