Description:
He was king in Israel after killing Pekahiah, and he reigned for 20 years, when he was murdered by Hoshea.It is not known how old he was when he became king, so only the years of his reign are depicted here.
It was during his reign that Tiglath-pileser, the King of Assyria, began to conquer the Northern Kingdom. He conquered many cities and took many captives.
