Conflict fought between the US and Great Britain.Causes
1) Britain was using the practices of impressment which was capturing American sailors and converting them to the British navy.

2) There were Indian attacks in the Northwest from British supply of weapons.

Impact
1) Led to the Treaty of Ghent which stopped impressment and restored boundaries.

2) After this war the Federalist Party died after trying to propose changes to the Constitution that gave more power to the Federalist Party.
