The Battle of Britain (jul 10, 1940 – may 1, 1941)

Description:

The Battle of Britan was a primary battle in WW2. The name was given by Britain's Prime Minister, WInston Churchill. After conquering most of Europe, Germany was after Great Britain. To invade Great Britain, Germany first had to to go through Britain's Royal Air Force. Although Germany had more planes and pilots, Britain still won because of its RAF and the radar that allowed the British to know where the planes were coming from.

Significance - The Battle of Britiain was the first major campaign to be fought entirely by air forces and was maked the first to defeat Hitler's military forces.
