Description:
What: Attempts to Unionise United Automobile Workers (UAW) and organise strikes.
Where: Flint Michigan/Also nation-wide.
Why: To improve wages and conditions at Ford factories.
How: Ford factory hired thugs to beat union officials and lawyers to counter-sue the workers National Labour Board. Workers staged sit-downs to protest Ford.
Outcome: UAW won in 1941 and got better wages and conditions. However, it worsened the general American mood against Unions..
