Old English period (jul 24, 428 – jun 2, 1066)

Description:

Old English is the earliest sort of English. It's very different from modern English.

Old English sounds like mixes of German, Scottish, Irish, Dutch, Flemish. Old English is the same as Anglo-Saxon. Anglo, Saxon, and Jutes are groups of people who all speak varieties of Germanic dialect.
Around 450 new invaders arrive in The Celtic England. These were Nordic Vikings who took with them the skills of writing old Norse. This set the core vocabulary and town names in England, which all traces back to Swedish.
