Srivajaya was a prominent trade route in the Strait of Malacca. this was important because any goods that came through there could be heavily taxed and they were. this city became a huge part of the trade in the south china sea. also the dates are very loose because it is unclear when it was a empire there was no specific start and end dates very little is known.
