Description:
Rich in art and architecture, Rome was also home to many of the greatest authors was Virgil, who wrote a great epic about the founding of Rome, the Aeneid. In addition, Roman writers produced histories, speeches, and dramas that are still studied and enjoyed today. Virgil, Ovid,and other poets wrote in Latin, the language of the government and law.
