Description:
Shortly after Solomon's death the kingdom divided. Ten tribes formed the northern kingdom of Israel, while two formed the southern kingdom of Judea.In the timeline the kings of Judea, being descendants of David, are given in dark green. They are also the only line where actual ages can be calculated for them, so they are depicted with solid bars.
The kings of Israel are given in a yellow green to distinguish them from the kings of Judea. As we are not given the actual age of any of them, only the years of their reign are depicted here, showing in brackets.
