Dec 12 1814 - Jan 5 1815, states' rights issue (dec 12, 1814 – jan 5, 1815)
Hartford Convention was a secret meeting held in Hartford, Connecticut. There were federalist delegations from Northern states and they all were dissatisfield with President Madison's mercantile polisies and progress with war of 1812. They also didn't like that south had that much political power in the national government. The convention adopted a storong states' rights position ad came out with some strict resolutions.
